Kylie's Kickin' Cancer Lemonade Stand

Fighting the mighty fight against cancer is a lesson our 7 year old daughter, Kylie, has learned about all too early in life.  Kylie's best bud, Aunt April, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015.  Kylie has become April's biggest cheerleader over the past three years.Every year Kylie's school raises money for the American Cancer Society through their Walk For Life event held throughout the month of April.  The Walk is being held on May 4, 2018 this year.

Last year Kylie decided to have a lemonade stand, on a chilly April Sunday, to raise money to find a cure for April...and cancer in general.  Our shy little peanut turned into a little entrepreneur by the end of the day!!!  She was serving lemonade, cookies, and taffy.  She had set up yard games, sidewalk chalk and of course bubbles.  She was determined to make it a special day for everyone,  especially Aunt April.

Now this year is extremely difficult.  April continues to show her strength, courage and faith.  However the cancer is becoming too much for her body.  We are enjoying every single minute we have with April!  Kylie is determined to have another "Kylie's Kickin' Cancer Lemonade Stand," yet the timeline is a bit up in the air as being with April is our priority right now.

Last year our pint-sized entrepreneur raised $500!  There are no words to express the appreciation we felt from all the love, support and compassion felt that chilly day from, family, friend and strangers.   Our fingers are crossed another lemonade stand can be held before May 4th.  We are reaching out to GoFundMe to help raise money for Kylie's school's Walk For Life fundraiser, which will in turn go to the American Cancer Society.

Any donation, great or small, will mean the world to Kylie (and all of us).  NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!  Kylie has been wearing her boxing gloves for Aunt April for three years and is ready to smash cancer out of this world forever!!!  Let's work together to end this unbelievably, horrific disease which has taken too many loved ones away from  us.
