Kristiina Cleverley Stoddard Fund
Our beloved Kristiina Cleverley Stoddard had brain surgery on Monday, January 8th, 2018 to remove a large tumor on her frontal lobes which was discovered the week prior. The tumor was slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Kristiina is in stable condition after the surgery, and the results will be better know next week. No matter the outcome, it will be a long challenging road ahead for her, Jeff and their five children. Numerous friends and family have inquired if there is anything that can be done to help ease the burden this situation has on their family, and some have expressed their strong desire to help offset some of the short and long term related financial expenses. In response we as Kristiina's siblings have set up a “Go Fund Me” account for this purpose.
Funds will be explicitly used for the following: (a) medical/insurance expenses; (b) transportation expenses, as Kristiina will be immobile for at least six months; (c) household management such as meals, house cleaning and laundry; (d) house modifications in the event of mobility loss; (e) occasional childcare services as Jeff resumes work travel.
Kristiina underwent a serious neck surgery right before Christmas. The brain surgery added a new layer of complexity to their situation. The doctors advised us that the long term recovery from this operation is intense, and will ultimately take several years. In short, any amount provided, no matter how small, will help make a difference. All donations will be accounted for and administered by Kristiina’s brother Markus, who will serve as a steward of the funds.
