My Mission Trip to the Philippines

Hi Friends and Family!
As many of you know I have some Filipino heritage in this mixed up lineage of mine lol. It's always been a dream of mine to visit there so a couple years ago I decided I was going to plan a big birthday trip. Needless to say that didn't work out and for any one that knows how I feel about my birthday I was completely heartbroken and bummed. Little did I know God had something so much BIGGER in store for me!
I have been selected to be a part of a relief effort with the church I attend GCFI 'Bridges to the Nations' organization; Bridges to the Nation is a 501(c)3 non-profit..(this means all your donations are tax deductible! woot wooot!!) The trip is this coming February 2015 and I have the opportunity to not only fulfill one of my life's dreams by going but I also get to serve God's people while I'm there! What I intended to be a vacation has turned into a blessing for me to help the people there that have been devastated by the recent category 5 typhoon. The Phillipines is comprised of over 7 thousand Islands with a large majority of the people living in poverty. I couldn't have more joy than being able to travel with a purpose. I will be joining a team of physicians, dentists, nurses and volunteers to conduct a medical/dental clinic in various islands. Each person in the group is expected to raise $2000 for the costs of travel and supplies we will need, I am setting my goal at $3000 because I want to be able to pay it forward and also help someone else reach their goal. I know with your love I can make this happen!
