Homeless from fire&corporate greed

My family friends suffered the horror of their house burning down with family pets inside as well. Everything they owned but the clothes on their backs were lost. They barely escaped with how fast the fire spread throughout the house. Their vehicles also were affected by the fire because they were parked in front of the garage which is where the fire originated.



Now, just over a year later, they are homeless while continuing to pay their mortgage. Why? Because their insurance policy issuer refuses to make good on the loss-of-use policy that still has more than enough money to keep them in a rental. They've been homeless since April and will continue to be through at least July. For the story from Suzanne's perspective, check out her personal story. 

They also discovered that the rebuild policy won't cover about $15,000 of the rebuild cost, mostly in things like toilets, sinks, flooring, paint, and most major applicances.

Of the family, two are teachers, two are in school, two work with special needs and at-risk children, and all make considerably less than they are worth. By the way, that describes only THREE people. The Krause family are the most kind-hearted and generous people I know. No one deserves what they've been through, but the Krause family have done so much for so many that it offends me personally that they have been through so much difficulty over the past year.
