We all love Korbin and want him to get well!
Korbin began his life as a rescue, but soon found his way to our door. He quickly adopted not only his direct family, but everyone around him. Since then he has been with us through every move, and has done no less than be our best friend and companion through the good times and the bad. He truly loves everyone, which above all is his most exceptional quality. It is why he has been so much more than a pet to all those lives he's touched.
In November, Korbin was taken in for a lump found on his leg. A tumor that led to further testing and an eventual diagnosis of malignant cancer. Though the prognosis wasn't good, the vet told us that by
amputating the leg and having Korbin undergo chemotherapy, he would have a good chance of survival. We were warned that it would be expensive, but couldn't imagine life without Korbin. It was a difficult decision, but we gave the OK to begin treatment.
We are thrilled that Korbin is doing well and getting around just fine on 3 legs, thank you very much. He is as feisty as ever, and I know that a little thing like cancer hasn't dampened his spirit. However the total vet bills are now pushing $8,000. This leaves us in a difficult financial position with the sudden burden of debt and wondering how I am going to pay it off.
As such, we are humbly asking friends to contribute to help defray part of the total vet bill. All funds we receive will go directly to paying Korbin's vet bills, and every little bit helps.
Korbin's resilience has proven in spades that he's earned his treatment. He's not giving up and neither will we.
