Kona "The Love Sponge" is a 6 year old English Cream Golden Retriever. He is an award winning therapy dog who has devoted his life to bringing love, hope and comfort to others. He has spent thousands of hours visiting seniors, children, Veterans and hospital patients.
He has a heart of solid gold, and a bad knee so now it's his turn to be the patient. He has a Cranial Cruciate Ligament injury - which is the canine version of an ACL tear. Without the surgery he will only get worse and be in constant pain. It's got to be done, and it's expensive.
