My spiritual trip to Israel

If someone would have told me five years ago, even two years ago, that I would be contemplating going out of the country, I would have looked at them like they were crazy, and then laughed...heartily. Considering that I am almost 40, and I took my first plane ride last year, it's not hard to see why I would think the above statement was laughable. My world was pretty predicatable.
Fast forward to now, and I have to say that God is truly a miracle worker. In the last year and a half, I have learned much about myself and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I had decided to "go all in", and the journey for me is just beginning. There is an unspeakable Joy I feel, and an impregnable sense of peace on my life that I will never trade.
This GoFundMe campaign is in an effort to grow my faith in Christ, and experience something that will be so profound that I'll have no words to describe it, but people will be able to see my spirit light up like never before.
My church just announced that there will be a trip to Israel this year, and I felt an overwhelming sense that I am supposed to go. Nevermind the fact that I'm broke, don't have a passport, and is scared witless about the prospect of flying over open water, into a country that has seen its share of violence and civil unrest.
However, I've learned that when you obey God, everything works out better than you could ever imagine. I shared my revelation and concerns with a friend, and she suggested that I create this account. This is my first campaign effort, but I know that if God intends for me to visit the Holy City, He will utilize people I know, and those I don't, to help bring about His Purpose. Will you help me?
The funds will be used to pay for the trip in its entirety. This includes air fare, hotel accomodations, historical sites, and meals. I have to figure out travel insurance and passport fees. The final payment is due beginning of May 2018.
If this trip could be paid for through the generous hearts of those who love people, who love seeing people become the best versions of themselves, I would be eternally grateful. I knew that 2018 was going to be a year of change and growth, but I did not expect it to be so soon. I am excited for the journey and the experience, but most of all I am in awe of how awesome God is. If you don't know Him personally, I challenge you to ask Him to reveal himself to you.
