Kirkman/Ziemer Thomas Fire Recovery

Donation protected
On December 5th the Thomas fires took down the Hawaiin Village apartment complex in Ventura CA.  The Hawaiin Village has been part of my life for over 13 years and is where my mom Judy Kirkman and myself Jonathan Ziemer have called home.

Judy is retired from where she worked for the city of Carpinteria for over 20 years and has lived in Ventura for all of those years.

My mom spends a lot of her time taking care of her loving grandchildren at the apartment and I can't leave out the care she has given myself, my sister, and many others there. The apartment at the Hawaiin Village really was a sanctuary for our family to come together and losing this has been devastating.

The loss of property is difficult but our main focus is keeping the family together and a fresh start is very difficult for us. The fires took everything includuing all of the family pictures, furniture, everything my mother owned, the grandchildren's things, and most of mine and my sister's things.

All donations will be used to rebuild what was lost in the fires. We did not have renter's insurance so what is gone, is gone. This includes finding and renting a new apartment, furniture, appliances, clothing, and replacing the car that was also taken.

We've felt a strong sense of support and from the community and those close to us and appreciate everyone's love and concern.
