Kirbys Cause:Donate 4 Lungs/Medical Care

Kirby was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 10 months old. The doctor told his mother he would never make it to ten years old. They said she could sit him in a corner and wait for him to die OR treat him like a normal child and let him live a fulfilling childhood. They lived on a farm and she made him do chores like his brothers. She taught him how to work hard and that work ethic has kept him alive. Kirby has beat unimaginable odds with this disease and is an inspiration to so many living into his 50's! Anyone who knows Kirby knows how wonderful of a person he is, he always has a smile on his face and is quick to help anyone in need! Kirby is a well known and respected horseman, and enjoys training and showing horses with his family. Any of his horse show family will have to agree he is one of the hardest working talents in the industry;even on his worst day it is nothing to see Kirby tooling a horse around even it requires him wearing a breathing mask, you might not be able to see the smile on his face but you can still see it through his eyes! Kirby will be in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis until he receives a lung transplant. This could be days or months from now but the important thing is he is on a list and we know God is going to take care of our cowboy! Kirby is fortunate to have health insurance however they are responsible for 20% of all expenses incurred, as well as travel, lodging, medicine excetera. With the extended hospital stay and treatment the medical bills are accumulating quickly. During this stressful time Kirby and his family should be able to focus on healing not burdened by financial worries and what if's. Friends, family and the horse community can unite as one and help raise the financial means to ease this worry. We know that times are tough for everyone, any donation amount large or small is one step closer to meeting the goal! What ever you can afford, what ever amount God tugs on your heart to give know it is a blessing to Kirby and his family! He cannot have visitors other than immediate family due to the risk of infection but we welcome you to post any hellos and prayers you have for Kirby here on this site and the FaceBook page 'Hope and Hello's For Kirb Rulon' His wife Cristal will be able to show him the page frequently so let's keep their spirits up and keep encouraging words flowing!
