Hi my name is Tiffany Legg & I am starting this Go Fund Me account to help my best friend, Jessica Padgett, her daughter Emerson & her mom, Cindy Padgett. A few weeks ago Ms. Cindy was diagnosed with colon cancer.
This family has been by my side since we were 14 & have always been there for my family & myself NO MATTER WHAT! I want to do what I can to help them in this hard time. The medical bills are going to start coming in & with one income to pay all the bills, it is going to be so hard.
Jess & Ms. Cindy have the biggest hearts of anyone I know. They are always the first to help someone even if they don’t have the money or the time. I have never known a more selfless family. Any donation would be amazing & gratefully appreciated.

“Two weeks ago, mom went in for a colonoscopy and the doctor found a mass on her colon. She’s since went in for scans and they have confirmed that the baseball size mass on her cecum is cancer. The cancer is in the surrounding lymph nodes and has likely metastasized to three relatively small spots on her liver. She is scheduled for surgery on Monday to have the tumor, part of her colon and surrounding lymph nodes removed. In addition, they will biopsy the liver for suspected metastasis. We will meet with an oncologist after the surgery and are anticipating chemo therapy about a month after her surgery. While this diagnosis isn’t the best we could have received, it’s not the worst either. To be honest, the first week after her diagnosis knocked us completely off our feet. My world was completely shattered and to say that it was hard to breathe would be an extreme understatement. Through the recommendation of a dear friend who went through a colon cancer diagnosis, treatment and is doing well, we got a second opinion and are seeing a phenomenal team at the Colorectal Center at St. Thomas in Nashville. We know that the next 6 months to a year are going to be hard, but we are encouraged by survivor stories. We are prayerful, hopeful and ready to kick cancer’s butt.
Mom won’t be able to work during this time and we could use any help that we can get. If you’re able to help us financially, we would be eternally grateful and undoubtedly will pay it forward as soon as this storm passes.
