Dad's/Kevin's Treatment

As you all know, our dad Kevin was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in March of 2015. He underwent resection of his colon, however still continues to battle liver metastasis. The disease has been fairly stable and Kevin has had a remarkable tolerance to the chemotherapy with continued positive attitude, exercise and good diet. He continues to meet with a naturopathic oncologist to determine a good supplemental regime to enhance his tolerance to chemo. Kevin's most recent abdominal CT scan, however has shown about a 30% progression of the liver tumors and one new small lesion. He has currently discontinued chemotherapy as it appears to no longer be working well. In regard to conventional western medicine, there remains one option: an experimental clinical trial at Dana Farber; however he is unsure about participation as it has not yet been tested on humans. He is now needing to explore every alternative opportunity available as he has now exhausted the conventional chemotherapy options. Kevin will begin IV mistletoe infusions and a couple other more alternative therapies.  One of the options is with Medicor Cancer centre in Toronto, Canada (http://medicorcancer.com); another being seen by the Integrative Medical Center in New Mexico (http://drberkson.com). Both are run by medical doctors and focus on low dose naltrexone and alpha lipoic acid infusions. None of these options, however, is covered by insurance and will require several weeks of travel. We estimate that one course of treatment will likely be between $5000-$6000. This is why we have decided to reach out to our friends and family via a gofundme campaign in attempt to make this happen.  Any contribution, no matter how small would be monumentally helpful in funding these potential treatment options for Kevin.
