KerryAnn gave Birth to a beautiful healthy 9lb 7oz baby Boy Christian on November 21st 2017.
Kerry was complaining of severe pain in her back and headaches since she came home from hospital.
Sunday Novemeber 26th Kerry was rushed by ambulance to Barrie Hospital after suffering a seizure and then another in hospital upon arrival.
Tuesday morning after speaking with her 3 little girls on the phone and assuring them all, that mommy was fine and would be home after some more tests She was taken down for a MRI. Between 10am and 11am something went wrong? she did not make it into the MRI but to the ICU. KerryAnn took a turn for the worse after suffering what the Doctors believe was a stroke? She was airlifted from Barrie Hospital to SunnyBrook all before the hour of noon on Tuesday.
Once at SunnyBrook she was receiving the best possible care. 5 top doctors were on her case. They have been trying to stop the swelling in her brain as she suffered a massive inoperable brain bleed. She is in SunnyBrook in the Intensive care for critical condition. She has a breathing tube, feeding tube and so many more tubes I can not name. Friday they removed a part of her bone in her skull to relieve the pressure which has been caused by the swelling. They will continue their great efforts to bring her back to us.
At home she has 4 beautiful children. Ally 8 years old, Annabell 4 years old, Abigale 23 months and Newborn baby boy Christian. They all miss their mommy and do not know where she is or why. They are amazing childen. Christian does not know his mother, as she did't get a chance to breast feed like she did with the other 3.
Husband and Father Josh has been by her side. kerryAnn's Mother Karen is the full time care provider with help from Kerry's aunt's who are taking turns helping with newborn Christian so the children's grandmother can get some sleep. Josh's family have been by his side from the begining, visiting at Sunnybrook and preparing meals. Everybody is pitching in.
The Barrie community and friends of Kerry's have set up a website for support with food donations, rides to Brownies and all and all a major support team.
KerryAnn will be in hospital for a very long time. We have been told possibly a year and then physio. She will be off work and money will be tight. Josh has had to go back to work to support his family. I am setting this up so the children will have access to daycare, after school programs, helping with the household expenses and God forbid that in the future she may possibly need renovations to the bathroom or ramps installed should KerryAnn continue to be be paralysed.
KerryAnn was always helping others, she was a hands on mom with all her children, she volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, she was Brownie leader and she was always smiling, she never complained and she has a heart of gold. If this was someone else laying in that hospital I know KerryAnn would be helping in any way she could.
