A Miracle for Kenzie

Donation protected
Our Little Kenzie is has been under the weather.  She is a 5-year-old Boston/Frenchie mix who has brought so much joy into our lives. This little angel was a gift to my daughter Nicole who had been battling depression over the loss of a very dear friend and has become such a great little companion for her and important part of our family.  She has the cutest little personality. She loves to play ball and go to the beach and the park and is the best little cuddle bug.  She is so well behaved and smart and such a good little baby.

Just before Thanksgiving, she started having some tummy trouble and we noticed that while she seemed fine, something just did not seem right.  After the first round of blood tests, the doctors were able to tell us that there was something wrong with Kenzie's liver function, but they cannot figure out what is causing it.

Over the last few week’s she has been on multiple medications with little improvement. We have had numerous tests run, x-rays and ultrasounds, but they need to do a liver biopsy to find out the best treatment to make her better.

Over the last 4 or 5 weeks my daughter has spent all of her savings for Kenzie's veterinary care but yesterday Nicole received an estimate for almost $7,000.00 just to do the biopsy and testing to diagnose Kenzie’s illness.  She has reached out and borrowed nearly half of what she needs but our time is running out.  If Nicole is not able to raise the money in the next few weeks then all of the test’s she paid for yesterday will have to be redone and the cost of this procedure will go up.

My heart tells me that if she can get this testing done they will find a treatment that will allow Kenzie to be with us for a good while longer because somehow we believe we were lucky enough to have caught it early on.  We love her so much and are so very hopeful that this test will bring good news.

We would be so very grateful for any donation towards the cost of this procedure and will continue to be grateful for each and every day we have left with our beautiful little angel.  She makes us all so very happy. To be able to get anywhere near our goal would be the best Christmas gift we could ever imagine.
