Ken our workout coach and health mentor has been on a long crooked journey. We know he doesn't always make the best choices, or use the best words. One thing we do know is there is only one Ken Blake.
Whether you have continued to workout with Ken or not, I think most of us will attest to just loving him for who he is, and also, for who he is not.
This fund raiser is meant for getting him straightened out for retirement. His community is dwindling and is really being kept alive by those of us who love him. His health is not so good, but he is unable to move forward to make any changes, as he is just living day to day.
Ken is a very private person, but a few of us decided it would be worth the risk at this point in his life, of explaining the situation and getting some funding to solve a few of these very important items. ( also, the risk is small because he doesn't use the computer!)
Ken needs to get his back taxes done so he can get social security and veteran benefits. Both of which he is entitled too, but has never received.
This fund raiser is for meeting with the tax account, completing all the tax issues, and to payoff his living space. This is not for his #@$@#% car.
**This is a surprise, and we are asking for you not to mention anything to him. If you would like us to list you as a contributor on his card when we give it to him, please let us know it is okay to do that when you donate.
We know he owes about 8k for his living space and the rest will go to the tax issues which we hope are not too large, but if they are, they will be taken out of back social security and veteran benefits, with which we are fairly certain will be a substantial sum.
To have Ken enjoy his later years and see all his work pay off, is all we are looking for. He can figure out his own health. This funding will complete enough of the logistical items in his life and give him the means to move forward with what he chooses.
We all know this support will mean so much to him. The money will be managed by myself and Pam Martin and will go to the items we are raising the funds for.
