Kellie's doing great since she's home in Ohio! After her trip home August 4 of 2015 in a medical Lear Jet she's been healing and getting better all the time. (A special thanks for everyone's generosity, especially Denise Fridenmaker for helping to organize our big fundraiser back then). Kellie's recovery continues in miraculous ways. We're still seeing her make progress and she continues to surprise us with her sense of humor and amazing memories. Besides eating a regular diet and beng mobil with her custom supportive wheel chair her short term memory and ability to solve small everyday challenges is improving. She has channels memorized on TV for her favorite shows and loves teasing and talking with the staff at Friends Care
Our Mobility Van continues to allow us to go out on excursions, trips to the dentist, and visit family and friends. Her“Wunderwoman’s Wheels” are a god-send! She’s been to movies and several shows at the Schuster Center in Dayton and the Cincinnati Art Museum to see some of Van Gough’s works. Dayton Art Museum and of course the Wright Pat Airforce Museum. Kellie is enjoying everything; comes home and supervises my cooking; jokes with her caregivers and overall does amazingly well. She and her Dad have a very little garden this year. Seems the Deer were eating all the tomatoes and lettuce before we could get to them! That's why she and her dad decided to just plant peppers this year!
She has her own room at Friends Care Community, 150 E Herman St. Room 110, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387 if you would like to send her a card or letter! She loves getting mail and visitors. Her50th birthday just passed in March - now she says that's just too old!
Thank you for all your past and present generosity for Kellie's Go Fund Me account. We've beenable to provide Kellie with bi-weekly therapeutic massages that are not covered by insurance. She is so much more alert and they have improved her circulation, flexibility and overall wellness more than you can imagine. She's also been on many a field trip exploring area activities and sites. The Go Fund Me balance continues to fuel our excursions and special needs. We recently bought a portable ramp we can take with us to improve her accessibility possibilities. If you find yourself able to make a donation please do. We appreciate everything received and use it totally on her behalf. Thank you.
Take care and God Bless Everyone for all your prayers and support.
