Matthew and Kelley Hurricane Harvey

My sister Kelley Eggert- Ricciardo and her husband Matthew  Ricciardo were Unfortunate Victims of Hurricane Harvey.  Matthew and Kelley live in Houston and recently completed renovation of  their home, which was a 2-3 year project.   As victims of Hurricane Harvey and the Catastrophic rain, Matthew and Kelley were evacuated from their home last night by rooftop rescue.  When they left the house, the water was past their countertops in the kitchen and 3 steps up leading to the 2nd floor.   The picture on this account is before the water levels in their home intensified.  When they were evacuated, the water levels were expected to rise by 5-10 feet due to the dam release that runs into the Buffalo Bayou.   Both of their cars were also lost in this horrific disaster.  They had to leave behind Kelleys 2 cats and 2 stray cats that they saved and brought in the house the night before the storm hit.  Through this whole tragedy her cats have been her biggest concern and the reason they stayed in the house  as long as they did.  Both Kelley and Matthew have heart of gold.   The great news is they are now safe, and will begin the long journey back to picking up the pieces and rebuilding again.  Both have a tremendous and optimistic perspective of the events, and a spirit and resillience to move forward, that there is no doubt they will get there.   They have asked for no help from anyone.  .  Kelley is my sister and we all love her dearly.  I just feel compelled by the Holy Spirit to do something.   They are going to need all the  support they can get in the next several months as they continue the long journey to recovery.   Thank you Friends, Family and Neighbors for thinking of them.  Continue to pray for them and all the Families in the Houston area who have been devastated by this tragedy of Mother Nature.
