Help Kailen Osby - Cancer Treatment

In July 2006, Kailen had a malignant brain tumor removed.  She was only 13 years old.  It took many months and many meetings by many pathologists (all over the country)  before they diagnosed it as Fibromyxoid Sarcoma which is a very rare form of cancer. At that time, there was only 4-5 cases per year in the USA for this kind of cancer. The doctors thought they had removed all of the tumor, but in fact they did not. As a result, it has slowly grown back over the years. It is inoperable as it is tangled in the middle of the cranial nerves and surgery would just be too dangerous. The doctor says it is just millimeters from the brian stem. If it reaches the brain stem, there is nothing we can do, it will be fatal. She has had radiation in the past so it's no longer an option and nearly a year's worth of chemo (the pill form) which obviously did not work.  There is no known cure so anything she does is trial and error. Her medical records are being reviewed by the doctors at MD Anderson. When they are finished looking over everything, we will have a specific appointment date to share with you all. It should be less than 30 days from now. We are asking for your help to send her to MD Anderson for a second opinion and to see if they have any recommendations for treatment. MD Anderson is in Texas, we are in Georgia. Please help us fund this trip and hopefully much needed life saving medicine.
