Help a homeless woman stay housed

Donation protected
Many of you have probably seen a woman at Six Corners lugging her belongings around with her. It wouldn't be fair to her to describe her enough to identify her, but you might know her. She was homeless all the winter until she came back to Six Corners. She needs your help or she will be out on the street again. The goal would provide three months of rent and living expenses.

Through various funding sources, she has been housed for the past several months, but funding from those other sources has run out and she needs your help. She has mental health issues that cause distrust of government, so she is resistant to applying for assistance. Being housed has helped her mental health to the point where she is considering taking this step. Or maybe in three months, she'll be healthy enough to where she can support herself with a job. For now, however, she needs your help and you can make a big difference in her life.

This woman wants to be helpful and seems to have had a professional life in the past. She is polite, apologetic to a fault and at times humorous. She is a person worth helping, but why should you help her when so many others need help? Because she is one of us and because you can. In other words, she is someone who lives in our community and this community cares about the least fortunate among us. Also, this goal is doable. It would not take much from each of us to give her the most basic needs that we sometimes take for granted.

Thank you to all those who care and thanks all the more to those who care to contribute.
