More Like Family

Just like other 21 year olds out there, Keara Laca is living her dream. She's a fourth level Practical Nursing student and a candidate to graduate this coming October 2017. She's been my classmate and became my good friend since we started the program last May 2016 here in Victoria, British Columbia. However, unlike other 21 year olds that you know, last July, two weeks before we finish our lectures in school, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer. The primary cause was unknown. The doctors took weeks before they could finally tell us that she had Adenocarcinoma Lung Cancer. She did not smoke at all, so the doctors believed that she acquired it from second hand smoking. So far, she is the youngest person to be diagnosed with this condition in Vancouver Island. As a friend, I have come up with this campaign because I want Keara to enjoy her life, ease her pain and suffering and pursue her bucket lists. Let us spread the love and hope for cancer victims like her and help her out to fight this enormous battle in her life. We still believe in loving hearts out there and make this fund raising a way to touch Keara's heart that the world is with her and that she is not alone in this difficult stage.
