A Summer of Rescue and Restoration...

Donation protected

"Where to begin...

I have been blessed to have gone on 5 mission trips. The first three in Nairobi, Kenya and the last split between Nairobi, Kenya and Gulu, Uganda as well as one in Oklahoma, after the detrimental tornadoes, in order to help feed and counsel the families. In Africa, I have had the honor of helping lead teams, run VBS, and the priveledge of counseling and speaking to girls on rape, abuse and self worth.
After my last trip, I knew that God wanted me to finish my degree in order to be more competent in my prayerful future career. Within a month, I found out I got accepted to trasfer and moved from southern California to Seattle Pacific University to finish and obtain a double major in Psychology and Communications to be able to counsel, speak on behalf and work towards the rescuing and restoration of sex trafficking victims.
I went from working two jobs, going to school, volunteering at my church and a recovery center to being a full time student while teaching dance part time in a new city. I had completely forgotten that I had inquired about an internship in Thailand to work specifically with the restoration and rescuing of trafficked women and children untill months later, that they replied. I prayed and took my interview and a couple hours later I found out that they offered me the position.
I was wondering what God was wanting me to do; To be obedient in turning down the offers and going home to work during the summer or to not question and try to fundraise quickly in order to go forward with these offers. It was then, that I got an email from a girl I didnt know. She explained that she has been following my journey and as a girl adopted from thailand, she wanted to know that if I needed a sign to pursue...her story would be it. Then, a man messaged me sharing his daughters horror story and although the man who assaulted her is in jail, he encouraged me to crusade on and keep doing my work no matter what.
I have always been able to work multiple jobs to help fund my trips as well as have been BLESSED by many supporters. Within this mission, I do have to rely more of donations due to being a full time student in a new city and will have to pay a two months rent while I am in Thailand to be able to secure my home situation for fall along with purchasing books and starting. I give everything to the Lord and know that if He wants me to be there, I will."
