Kayla's European Educational Tour

One of our students at the BDCO house was invited on an educational trip to England, Ireland & Wales that will take place this summer.  She was nominated by her school faculty  because of her outstanding academics and behavior records.  She is a National Honors student, she is part of the Midland Junior Ambassadors, a Spelling B & Science Fair winner AND she  just earned 10th chair for violin in the All Cities competition!   

We've had to jump through, and have already overcome, major hurdles to get this far!  It is almost unheard of that a child in fostercare would be allowed to leave the country while in care.  My heart was moved in such a way that I just couldn't give up on giving her this once in a lifetime experience.  I wasn't going to take "no" for an answer until I gave it my all.  I was able to advocate for her and I got a judges approval! Her passport just arrived in the mail and we are on our way to the next step - to raise the funds for this amazing opportunity.  

We need to have raised $900 for her first installment due on January 15th in order to hold her spot.  The total trip cost is $4455.00 + tips and spending money.  Would you consider supporting Kayla and sending her on this trip?
