Steve Park and friends decided it was time to give back to the Houston community. His love for kayaking inspired him to create this event for underprivileged youth. At a minimal rental cost of $50 for a few short hours on the water, he knew many kids would miss out because of lack of funds on this amazing recreational activity.
On June 3rd "Kayaks 4 Kids!" will host 50 underprivledged middleschoolers on their 1st ever Kayak outing in Armand Bayou off Clear Lake! The adventure starts at 9:00 AM as kids arrive and will last the day with kayaking, lunch, nature walks, and fun! Artist Boat will be providing the Kayaks while ABNC will host trail hikes and history.
Whether it's kayaking through the unknown waters of Clear Lake or exploring the "outback" of the Armand Bayou Nature Center, imagine their faces when then encounter their first alligator up close and personal!They will not soon forget this first adventure in the pristine environment we call the Armond Bayou Nature Center!
