Denise "Katt" Hess served our country in the Marine Corps and is a wonderful loving strong mother of three beautiful kids.

She has been a Beacon of Hope, Love, Endless Service, and Strength in our community for years. A long time friend of Elaine Redwine, she didn't hesitate to jump in with both feet when Elaine called her and asked for help finding her son Dylan Redwine. Katt brought the community together when Dylan disappeared, showed the world who Dylan is and why he matters and continues in the fight for justice today.
In May of 2013 Denise Hess was diagnosed with stage IV Colorectal Cancer with metastasis in the pelvic lymph nodes, liver and both her lungs. They gave a year to two years. But she is a fighter and continues to fight more than 3 years later.
In July of 2016 they found that the cancer has become more aggressive and it now looks as though her biggest battle is the one to come.
Her spirit is so brilliant and strong, her vessel is having trouble keeping up and we have found a source locally we believe can help support her WHOLE body while she undergoes yet more radiation and chemo. It is however very expensive and insurance covers very little.

She has given her all ... NOW it is time for the community, the nation and the world to pull together and recriprocate all the love, kindness, giving and service that she continues to give, even during illness! Please give anhything you can as every little bit will help!
