Katlyns Medical Pre-College Program

Hello, my name is Katlyn Hurst and I want to thank you for taking the time to read my story. From the time I was little I’ve always wanted to become a doctor. As I grew older and learned more about the medical field, I narrowed my targeted specialties down to cardiovascular surgery or neurosurgery. Then after I read the book Gifted Hands about Ben Carson I decided that I would do everything it took to become a Neurosurgeon and have been 100% dedicated to that goal ever since. Don't ask me how I can be so sure of this decision because there is no way to explain how absolutely positive I am of my calling to  become a Neurosurgeon….all I can tell you is that my faith is what gives me the determination and focus to try my best every day. Therefore, I have a high school GPA of 4.57 at White Station High School and am doing everything within my power to set myself up on the right track for reaching my destiny. One of the many things on my path is a medical pre-college summer program that I have graciously been accepted into (I am choosing between Georgetown and Emory). Now that I have been accepted and have worked hard to get here I need some help paying for the program. My parents have pledged the bulk of the funding, but I knew with three siblings (and another on the way) that they wouldn’t be in a position to pay it all and am left to find the rest... I promise if you help me by donating any amount I will be forever grateful and will cherish every advantage granted from this program.
