Katie Morris is a typical eighteen year old college student in her first year at Indiana University Southeast, majoring in Graphic Design. She is a talented artist, member of Alpha Phi, girlfriend to Jack, and friend to many as well as one of the funniest people you will come across. Unfortunately, Katie is no stranger to health issues. When Katie was in middle school she was diagnosed with a rare condition called restrictive cardiomyopathy, which her younger brother, Ben, would also be diagnosed with. The only cure is a transplant. In 2014, the summer before Katie's sophomore year in high school, she had a heart transplant. Now, three and a half years and many bumps in the road later, Katie's body is suddenly experiencing rejection of her new heart as well as other complications. A VAD has been inserted to work for the left side of her heart and Katie will remain sedated and on life support until her heart function improves. As of today, her kidney function has stopped and she's been placed on dialysis and is having liver problems. She and her family are currently staying at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and hoping for a miracle.

The goal is to raise funds for medical bills and living expenses. Right now, we do not know how long Katie will be in the hospital and any amount you can donate would be an immense help and amazing Christmas gift to the Morris family. Any thoughts, prayers, and donations are greatly appreciated. Katie is an extraordinary young woman with a long road ahead of her.
