Katie Hein's Memorial Fund

Hello,
My name is Jeremy Hein. I am the son of Byron and Katie Hein. A few days ago, my beautiful mother was killed in a car wreck at the lil pantry store in Central Point, when a man that was fleeing from the police ran into her car at a very high speed. She had just left my house about 15 minutes earlier, having just taken my daughter to see a Shakespeare play in Ashland Oregon.

My mother brought so much beauty into the world, she loved flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies. She loved people. She would always help out everyone else, as much as she could. She loved to help out. She loved her grandkids, her kids and her family.

She had recently fought a long battle with breast cancer, finished her chemo and radiation treatments, and was declared cancer free. We were so blessed with more time together and were planning many more trips and days together as a family. Unfortunately, that was taken away from us. It was so very sudden and we are all still in shock.

My mom had no life insurance policy. She had the only reliable car at their house. My dad recently retired. Other than dad's small social security check, mom had the only income. My dad recently survived sudden heart surgery and prostate surgery, making through the tough times because he had my mom by his side.

I am starting this fund page to help my dad pay for her funeral expenses, memorial service, maybe a start on a car to get around in, and to just make it through this terrible, horrible time.
