Kathryn MacLennan's Medical Fund

Kathryn is the spunky, active and beautiful four-year-old daughter of Chris and Mary Ellen MacLennan. She was recently diagnosed with leukemia. A scheduled appointment with her family Doctor precipitated a phone call to Sick Kids Hospital in London and Mary Ellen was told that they were expecting Kathryn that day. In an instant, their whole world was turned upside down. After further testing the diagnosis was confirmed and the family was informed that Kathryn would be in the hospital for a prolonged period of time with treatment lasting up to two years. The emotional and financial stress is presumably overwhelming. Kathryn also has an older brother at home and the family is trying to keep life as normal as possible. Both Mary Ellen and Chris are employed however they do not have any benefits. Donations will assist in managing escalating costs at home and in hospital -- not to mention costs of medication going forward.
