Kathi was diagnosed with breast cancer on 11/12/2014. Due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, there are intense, multiple steps to her treatment which create significant and unpleasant side effects. As a result, she is currently unemployed and is relying on savings, friends, and the kindness of others to assist with the various needs during her journey.
I set the goal to include maintaining her current medical insurance premiums, cost of weekly chemo treatments, and various copays. Knowing she is a person of integrity, she would refuse personal money- she is a giver in most all she does. This has been a humbling experience, and one that has allowed personal growth for her.
