Karin Ozuna Memorial Fund

Karin and Pablo have two beautiful children, Christoper (7) and Christiana (10), they live in Fort Worth, Texas.

AML ( Acute Myeloid Leukemia) is an aggressive form of Leukemia, Karin fought it once earlier this year and won!! She had been in remission for several months.

Last month Karin had her routine screening and one of the tests came back with AML cells being found... The doctor told Karin to "Go, Make Memories with your Children and take a trip".

Karin and Pablo are terrified, as would any young family be. Karin's worst fear is that if she passes, her children, being so young, won't remember her. With that in mind they plan on taking a trip, as the doctor suggested, one to make memories that will last the children's lifetime.

Karin is going to require a stem cell / bone marrow transplant, in order to help her fight this horrid disease... It is going to be a very frightening experience for her and her family - Please Help support them through this.

1. Karin and her family need Prayer, lots and lots of Prayer!  Please add her and her family to your church's prayer lists, to prayer warrior lists and to your nightly routine with your children...Please pray for a cure.

2. Karin's medical treatments have been extensive, the cost is phenomenal and her family is drowning in debt. Anything you can donate would be so very wonderful, if it's $5.00 or $500.00. Currently they have over $75,000.00 in medical debt and it's rising http://www.gofundme.com/karinozuna.  

3. Add yourself and/or talk to your family and friends about adding themselves to the bone marrow and stem cell registries - it's easy and you can sign-up online at www.bethematch.org in the USA or www.onematch.ca in Canada or www.worldmarrow.org in Europe.

Bone marrow and stem cells are not a blood match, they are a genetic match - as an explanation, if you are 14% Dutch, 30% English etc., then to find a match the person that you receive from must have the same breakdown - not easy in our melting pot of a world... so please consider donating (you don't do it unless they find a match which is like winning a genetic lottery, where you save someone's life!) and if it can't be stem cells or umbilical cord blood that you donate then consider what about blood?
