Beloved Mother Passes Unexpectedly

Karen Davis Hernandez and her family have been Flower Mound residents for almost 20 years.  Karen was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to so many.  She operated a childcare center, "Karen's Precious Kids", out of her home for the last 17 years, and helped to nurture and care for countless children in our community.   Karen was truly one of the most kind, loving and selfless souls you would have ever had the pleasure of meeting.   We are so blessed to have known her. 

On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, Karen passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 45.  She leaves behind a 13 year old son and a 16 year old daughter.   Her daughter is graduating this year.   Karen's children were her number one priority, as she was truly the most devoted and giving mother you could imagine.  Her children came first, and it was apparent to everyone that knew her.

Unfortunately, Karen's family experienced some financial hardships in the last year, which is making this devastating situation that much more difficult. 

My plea is that we wrap our arms around this family as a community, and help in whatever way we can.  It was important to Karen that her children had the opportunity to attend college.  With her daughter graduating this year, this family will need some help to make that happen.  Please consider donating, and let's show Karen's children the love and support that she showed to so many of ours.
