Karen's Double Transplant Fund

The day that my family and I have been praying for years is here- It's with mixed emotions that we celebrate the news that my mom is eligible for a transplant ,after ten years of being a research patient.

For those of you that don't know, my mom has PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), a genetic kidney disease that causes cysts to form on the kidneys eventually leading to kidney failure. Unfortunately, my mom’s form of PKD has spread to her liver as well requiring her to have a liver transplant too. At this point in time, there is no cure for PKD/PLD. Thanks to advances in transplant surgery and transplant medications, this disease that took my sweet grandmother away far too early in life, will not take my mom.I firmly believe that God is good and that even in the hardest of days, He works in our favor.

Obviously these transplants will not be cheap. They will both will require alot of money and Faith.  Any monetary donations that can assist with the funding of her double transplant would be greatly appreciated, as well as your prayers.   We do have insurance, but will need funds to cover travel expenses, non-covered medical costs and lost wages.  This transplant means my mom has the opportunity to enjoy a long healthy life and with the power of prayer and your help, I believe that this hope can be made into a reality.
