Kahsay Needs A New Bed

As many of you know  Kahsay, was adopted 3 years ago from Ethiopia. After he came home Jill and Jason learned that Kahsay had many special needs. He has cerebral palsy, as well as microcephaly.

Kahsay is going to be 4 in February. He is growing out of his crib and it is becoming increasingly unsafe for him. For those of you who know him, he is a jumper. Jumping in his crib is something he really enjoys but is at the point where I am nervous he may jump so high he will flip out. He also is a head banger. With an entirely wood crib, we are constantly on alert when we hear him banging his head against his crib.

So here is the issue:
1. To prevent head banging, his bed needs to have a soft surround
2. To keep him safe in case of seizures and because of his visual impairment, his bed needs to be covered
3. We desired to have a bed that can be packed up and brought with us when we are not at home. This will make vacations and weekends away possible. Without this bed we do not know how Kahsay would sleep safely other places when he gets older. Believe me he is definitely getting too big for a pack n play.
