K.O.M.A. / C.O.M.A. = Cultural and musical alternative festival.
The main music styles are industrial, noise and EBM. There is no other festival in Norway or Scandinavia focusing on these types of music the way K.O.M.A does.
In 2013 we had three brilliant days filled with some of the biggest names in this genrert
s. Old heroes like Leæther Strip, Winterkelte and Kiew came to Oslo to fill us with pulsing rhythm, X-RX, Sam and XotoX filled the dance floors, and Kant Kino and Substaat showed what the Norwegians are good for.
Over 33 Bands, DJs and a great supporting programme made sure that this festival was an experience unlike any other. Being able to see all the bands and not have to wait in line anywhere, fulfilled the experience.
The reason for KOMA a gutsy German guy living in Norway. He has incredible energy and passion for the music. He decided to put his money where his mouth is, and together with his better half threw together a festival that is allready written in to history.
Afterwords, KOMA received 100% exceptional positive feedback from artists, crew and crowd; people wanted more and YOU will get it.
KOMA 2013 was successfull in every way, except the financial which is pretty usual for the first time. But since Michael is student he needs your help with that.
To give KOMA FESTIVAL the chance to be an annual event he and we need your help.
Were you part of KOMA in 2013? Are you one of those who would love to see KOMA in 2014 as well? KOMA has allready a bunch of pretty awesome artists waiting for an invitation for round two.
The music will be based on the same type of standard as it was in 2013, and it wont be one bit less attractive according to Michael Jafnhar. KOMA V2.0 will be even more special then the first version and something you never find at any other festival around the world.
KOMA 2014 is supposed to happen again in June. This time the week before or after midsummer, depending on the success of crowdfunding. The booking of artists and the organisation around an event like this is pretty hard and requires quite much time and preparations. As soon as we reached our first goal of sum (50.000 Dollar), first bands will be announced and confirmed.
KOMA Festival is an unique festival. Guests attending this event know from the very beginning what kind of music they can expect. The sounds will always be eclectically varied whilst remaining in the same atmosphere throughout the festival. It doesn't matter how many artists, or how many days, this event will offer to their guests, everyone will have the chance to experience everyone and everything that will happen.
KOMA has the goal to be a festival where you can meet and greet to both artists and the crowd within short time - before, during and after concerts. Music is as well not everything. VJs will create an atmosphere you NEED to experience.
Guests are supposed to feel at home, special, to be seen, respected and part of the whole.
It is an event not made for the creators, neither with the goal of earning money from it.
This is to offer something unique; in an unique country; for unique people.
