Economic hardships have chipped away at KIDCO’s core. Cuts from their funding sources, have driven KIDCO to very hard financial times, and to actively seek donations from those who value and advocate for young children… our future.
For the past 38 years KIDCO has taken great steps to improve the quality of their sites to offer a premier early care and education program for young children from low income communities in Miami-Dade County.
Society needs to see happy healthy children engaged in play and learning. KIDCO does this everyday within a nationally accredited program.
Engaging parents is a central value of the program as are instrumental in assisting children with their total development. Parents participate as members of parent and policy committees and are active in many of the KIDCO operational decision making processes.
