TRIO - Kansas City Chapter


Have you ever admired the courage of a family that donated a loved one's organs during one of the most difficult times in their life? Have you marveled at the strength of someone waiting for a transplant and then watched the remarkable life path they took once they were healthy again?
The path that some of the Missouri and Kansas transplant recipients are working toward is to participate in the 2013 World Transplant Games in Durban, South Africa.
Barb Sheble, 2009 heart transplant recipient, is one of those hoping to make it to the games. Barb attended the 2012 Transplant Games of America and won gold medals in the shot put and discus. She, and others, now want to take their participation to the next level and represent the United States, donor families, their loved ones, and everyone who received a second chance at life, at the World Games.
By donating to the Kansas City Chapter Transplant Recipients International Organization (TRIO), transplant recipients just like Barb have a chance at going to the games, and you receive a tax benefit. Donations made through this site will go directly toward the Western Missouri and Kansas World Transplant Games participants.
