Justice For Judge Payne

Donation protected
Justice for Judge Payne On Tuesday February 13, 2018 my family was hit with a life changing event, something that will forever be edged into our hearts and minds. My brother Judge Clifford Payne Jr. was arrested on the campus of St. Mary’s College in Maryland for an incident he was not involved with. There is no evidence to indicate that he was involved and students on his campus have stated that he was not involved. (FYI a number of students rallied, at the courthouse to show support). He is being profiled as a young black male for something he has not done. My mother attended his bail hearing, sharing letters written by coaches, professors and students describing the outstanding character of Mr. Payne.  Despite the numerous testimonials of his character, he was denied bail .  He has never been in trouble, never arrested and has no record. When will the false incarnation of our young black male’s end, I request that you stand with me as we work to get justice in this case. My family and I have retained legal counsel and we will not stop until we get JUSTICE.   Who is Judge Clifford Payne, Jr Judge Clifford Payne, Jr is an exceptional young man.  He is active in his community, has a strong work ethic and continues to be a role model for his younger brother. He is a young man that strives hard to become the best he can be. I could remember when he was younger, always working hard for everything. Even though I am his older sister his strong work ethic often inspires me. When he was in Junior High School, he would babysit little kids for $10 dollars a week just so he’d have his own money to spend.  This strong work ethic followed him throughout the years as he juggled playing basketball and maintaining part-time jobs at Chick-Fil-A and Marshalls. In High School, Mr. Payne also volunteered to help developmentally disabled children in his school. He would take them to class and would often be a protector/mentor for them. Mr. Payne has also been a disciplined and dedicated student for years, he excels in science and math which are his favorite subjects. He is very committed to his school work, applying himself with persistence, determination and often going beyond his class assignments. As a freshman at St. Mary’s College he has worked hard to balance his studies while being on the basketball team. I know juggling the demands of college life and being on a scholarship was no easy task but Mr. Payne finished his first semester without giving up. Coming from a strong family often times I do not ask for help.  However, as we have obtained legal counsel and are fighting this case the costs are mounting.  We would like to reach out to anyone that could donate to help us fight this case. Let’s work together to stop the wrongful injustice in our community. Anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Manning Family
