Dean Mayley Appeal Fund

Dear All, I think we all know there are many people with tales of hardship and struggles to survive in everyday life, what we also know is that no one should have to go through the heartbreak and pain of losing a loved one in such an unjustified, cruel and heartless way that Donna, Emma and the rest of their family are experiencing right now. I am sure the family are overwhelmed by the support of everyone as they try to come to terms with their loss.  It is a long painful road, both emotionally and financially and they will need their friends and the rest of the community to help them on this unwanted journey. So many of you want to help and have done so with the words of comfort and distribution of leaflets etc. but, it is now time to ease their burden financially as they will soon be faced with the costs arising from Deans heart-breaking death. With this in mind it is our intention to hold a benefit evening (date and venue to be confirmed) to show our support.

Dean was attacked in Ruislip Road, Greenford at approximately 5.20pm on February 7. He was taken to St Mary's Hospital where he died later that evening. A post-mortem examination was completed on February 10 and gave cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.

Dean had suffered from microcephaly which led to him having learning difficulties and a mental age of approximately nine years old. As a result, his family describe that he was very vulnerable and easily led.

The Mayley family have been overwhelmed by the continued public support.
