JUSTICE FOR BECKY STONE

Justice For Becky Stone is a group of current, former, and retired law enforcement officers, with collective experience of over 100 years.  Investigative Reporter/Blogger  Lee White of Butler County Watchdog has also provided invaluable assistance to our group.

This strictly volunteer group was born around 10 years ago to look into the circumstances of the GUNSHOT DEATH of REBECCA STONE on June, 21st 2003, in Augusta Kansas.

Rebecca Stone was shot in the head with her then Butler County Sheriff Deputy Husband's 40 Caliber Glock, a weapon owned by  Butler County Kansas.  The death  was  ruled a suicide.

On June, 21st 2017 our group uncovered evidence of a domestic violence conviction against this deputy that  law enforcement- including The Augusta Ks. Police Dept. and Butler County Ks. Sheriff  appear to have known about since at least June 2003.  That discovery has led us to other evidence,  multiple witnesses who were never interviewed,  and possible corruption by law enforcement officials.

Against Kansas State Law, the Butler County Sheriff Deputy, and subject of the domestic violence conviction  continued to perform the duties  of a ( pseudo) law enforcement officer for 14 years, AFTER  Rebecca Stone's death.

In July, 2017 we also located a 2006 "Protection From Abuse Order" (PFA) filed against this same deputy,  in Sedgwick County Kansas, and served upon him by his  OWN DEPARTMENT, The Butler County Sheriff's Office. This PFA  and the majority of this officer's time as a Butler County Sheriff's Deputy,  occured under the term of Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy.

In the course of our investigation we have discovered many other  questionable actions on the part of the law enforcement agencies involved.

Based on our discovery of the deputies domestic violence conviction, and a complaint by Butler County Watchdog, this (pseudo) officer has now been de-certified (REVOKED) as a Kansas Police Officer.

We are close to having enough information to petition a grand jury to re-open this case. There are many questions that need to be answered, and they need to be anwered by a jury.

NOTE:  Around September, 4, 2017 the Augusta Police Chief, Tyler Brewer,  whose department "investigated" Becky Stone's death was placed on administrative leave. 11-2017 UPDATE....Chief Brewer is now no longer employed by the Augusta Police Department.

To date we have funded all expenses out of pocket.
In order to complete the case we need immediate funds  for an expert forensic pathologist (autopsy review) firearms expert , blood spatter expert, legal counsel, advertising, printing, and other expenses.  These fees will  be costly, but  will most likely help "make the case."  We anticipate another 2 to 3 months work before the case is complete and a grand jury is impaneled.

We believe that everyone deserves justice. Rich, poor, Black, Brown,  and White.  We hope to finally bring closure to Rebecca's family, through an unbiased and true investigation of Rebecca's death.   On behalf of Rebecca's family,  we thank you for caring and for all of your help.

P.S. If you are a Butler County Kansas  resident  and registered voter, and would like to sign the grand jury petetion (we need around 500 signatures) please message us on Facebook at JUSTICE FOR BECKY STONE and we will  get information to you.

If you have evidence regarding this case,  or information on ANY potential Butler County Law Enforcement corruption please message the same Facebook page.
