Justice for Bishop Finn

The Apostolates of Charity has been formed by supporters of the Most Reverend Bishop Robert W. Finn, the Ordinary of the Diocese of Kansas City, Missouri/St. Joseph since 2005. One of the goals of the apostolate is to raise money to place ads to show our support to Bishop Finn, and for him in the greater Kansas City area and throughout the United States. We want to bring some clarity to Catholics and non-Catholics; to instill hope regarding the case. A lot of positive momentum in building due to the thoughtful analysis by many recent commentators and Archbishop Naumann of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
We really need more than $5,000 for billboards. But, email ads on Catholic news email sends are planned for each week. Please help us to keep these ads going which will promote visitors to the website to learn why the indictment is unjust. Thank you.
We are in a struggle against seen and unseen forces of vice. We pray for peace from our Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is important in these times that we remember part of the prayer of St. Francis: that \"it is in pardoning that we are pardoned\". And, in the diary of St. Maria Faustina, Jesus declared to her, that we will \"be judged with the same amount of mercy by God as we extend to others while we are on earth\". We exhort the organization of SNAP and the prosecutor to take to heart these words. We know the indictment is unjust and we stand against it.
Bishop Finn should be to his flock, alter Christus, \"another Christ\". When he stands accused, we see Jesus Christ, accused before Pilate. Bishops are visible reminders of Christ, the head of the Church. When our bishops are attacked unjustly, our Lord is being attacked all over again. We know the Church existed in history before the state and will be here long after the state is gone.
Through this trial in the diocese of Kansas City, Missouri/St. Joseph, we \"rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus\" (Phil. 4:4-7).

Because of Bishop Finn, the Diocese of Kansas City, Missouri-St. Joseph is the historical and theological tribunal for the process of moving toward beatification and canonization of St. Marie. Sr. Marie found our Blessed Mother\'s house in Ephesus. Bishop Finn opened her cause for sainthood with solemn vespers this past January 21, 2011. Let\'s help add her to the roles of canonized saints through her intercession for us before the throne of God to turn the hearts of Jackson County and SNAP to what is right.
