I am recovering from hip surgery just fine. I have my 5 month post-op appointment next week. I am back to work, but only working 1 job. I had to quit my full-time job as a housekeeper due to limitations with my new hip. I can't bend to pick things up and I can't kneel to scrub floors or bathtubs due to high risk of dislocating my new hip.
With that said. I am still working, the only job I can maintain at the moment is Kmart. I'm working as much as I can by picking up hours when available... But working a 40 hour week (when possible) on a minimum wage job barely pays the bills. Add this on top of the bills that I was already behind on since I have been unable to work since January.
I was also turned down on short term and long term disability. I guess they see me as not disabled enough... If only they could see me walk. I am still having some issues, trying to get use to the movement of this new hip. My other hip and my ankles are not cooroperating at times.
My children are helping out as much as they can but with their student loans debt they barely can make it themselves. Any little help would be greatly appreciated.
I am very blessed to have such caring people in my life. I am hoping the new year will bring a better job and better finacial stability so I don't have to worry about scrounging for money just to make my house payment.

I have had a hard year with my second surgery this last week. I had a hip replacement this last Monday. I can not work for three months and I have worked very parttime since colon surgery in January. I was turned down for my short term disability due to the fact the HR didn't sign me up when I should of been signed up and waiting for a review. They have made the mistake but I pay the income price. I would appriciate any help making my morgage payment and insurance payment until I can get back on my feet. I would so appriciate any help I can get. I hope my surgery's are behind me for the rest of the year.
