Wow! Year 2, heading back to Tanzania and this time with my beautiful bestie Julie Hunt.
Firstly, I would just like to say a huge thank you to all of you that made it possible last year to bring clean water to the remote villages of Tanzania. I got to experience first hand the change that a clean water well makes. So many people's lives are saved.
The memory that sticks in my mind most is when we went to visit a village where E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change) had drilled a well 3 years previous. We met the head of the water committee, he was so proud, and we got to see first hand a village striving, with healthy children skipping and playing all around. However, I remember our translator explaining that in order for all living quarters to have water, each head of house would have to work approx 3 years in the main town, Iringa, in order to afford to run a pipe from the main water source to their humble abode. It costs $100.
Together WE CAN change this.
E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change), the organization we are part of, have been drilling water wells in Tanzania for over a decade. Once the water wells are drilled the next step is to continue to develop the communities by providing hygiene and sanitation education.
Both myself and Julie are committed to raising 6,000€, before we head out there on the 30th of September, and we are asking for your help.
100% of the donations go straight to implementing the project that we will be involved in: our share of the water well, including materials, testing, labour, implementation, training and maintenance. We will document every step of the project and share with you through Facebook/Email so you can see exactly where the money is going.
1.1 billion people in the world do not have access to safe and clean water, let’s try and make a difference together, if we all just give a little it makes such a huge impact. Thank you so much ❤️
