Hi everybody. My name is Julian Glick and I want to help my parents raise money because I have Leukemia and the bill pile is getting really high. My dad works really hard, but this will help us a lot to pay the doctor bills. I just got back from getting chemo for days at the hospital and my dad stayed overnight with me while my mommy stayed at home to take care of my sister. I'll be treated for Leukemia until I'm 14 1/2, right now I'm 11 years old - so it's going be a long time until I'm better. I hope everyone is having a fun Winter and I appreciate anything you can do to help me and my family. Thank you, Julian.
Julians Story: Back in the Summer of 2014, my wife Andi and I wanted to send Julian to his first experience of overnight camp, so we found a camp near the Wisconsin Dells area that had a great program for 2 weeks so he could have the same experience that many of us had as kids (horseback riding, fishing, sports, water skiing, etc..) -- camping with other kids his age. He went and had the time of his life. When we picked him up we noticed that Julian looked noticably thinner and he was not feeling well at all. We thought it was just all of the excercise at camp (and not eating junk food, etc...). We decided to take him to the doctor and find out what was the matter, - he had just celebrated his 11th birthday with friends and family. After a couple weeks of them mis-diagnosing him, and not being able to figure out what was wrong, we pushed to have a blood test taken. On the following day, the doctor asked us to immediately pull him out of school (his 1st day of 6th grade) and take him to Lutheran General Hospital as things were not normal on the results. After several hours with doctors reading the results and taking additional tests, Julian was diagnosed with Leukemia. Julian is such a brave young man and he knows the road to recovery is long, but as an avid (and very good) soccer player, he is taking this fight on with a lot of support from family, friends, etc... Julian set this fund up himself and we are so proud of him for doing this. We appreciate everyones support, thoughts and prayers and we know that he'll win this and be back on the soccer field as soon as he's able, -- thank you all so much for being part of Julians fight !
