Julia Muggia Ochs for New Ro BOE

For so many reasons, it has been a time for soul-searching and reflection in our city. But now, we need to find a healing path forward. With my heart full of hope and my head full of ideas, I am announcing my candidacy for the New Rochelle Board of Education.

I am in my fifth year as a PTA leader, serving my first three years as co-president of the Special Education PTA (SEPTA) and currently serving as president of the district-wide PTA Council (PTAC). My extensive experience working with caregivers, PTA leaders, staff, and administration in all of our district’s schools, I believe we share a goal: to see our children flourish in a stimulating and safe environment. With our children as my compass, I promise that, as a BOE member, I will prioritize working to ensure their access to challenging academics, safety and emotional well-being.
