Destination Ghana 2019
Donation protected
My name is Julia and I'm 13 years old. I'm raising money to help the people of Hohoe in Ghana in West Africa to build an adventure playground at a school for deaf children. I've been selected to a join a small group of Scouts from the Highlands & Islands and from Harpindon (near London) to take part in an expedition in Summer 2019.
We will be working at the "Volta School for the Deaf", working alongside some Ghanaian Scouts. The school currently has 300 students - all are deaf and some are deaf/blind. Scouts from the UK worked at the school in 2011 and some Scout Leaders worked there in 2016 building the Hohoe Scout Headquarters.
You can find out more about our expedition here

and you can contact me directly through the website.
I'm very excited to be taking part in this adventure!
I need to raise £3000 and that covers our equipment, materials for the playpark and travel. I am doing lots of the things to raise money like organising bake sales, a ceillidh, a garden party and much more. But any help you can give will be very welcome. Many thanks for your help!
