Hello Friends, Family, and Loved ones. On Tuesday May 30th, Judy Martin age 56 was admitted to PeaceHealth SW Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. due to immobility and chronic pain. Judy had been dealing with chronic pain in her sciatic nerve over the last few months and was seeking treatment with a chiropractor. Once admitted to the ER, the hospital performed a series of tests and diagnosis, discovering that she had a tumor on her lung. This lead them to further investigate, finding that she also has blood clots in her lungs, arm and legs, Non-small cell lung cancer, Adenocarcinoma, Stage IV, that has spread to her bone in her right hip/pelvis area. The cancer has also spread to her brain. They have treated and are continuing to treat the blood clots. As for the cancer, current treatment is radiotherapy on her brain, her first treatment was last Friday, June 2nd and will continue once daily for a week, then they will begin treating the others. There have been improvements in the last 12 days, but she has a long road ahead of her. Chemotherapy cannot begin until she is more stable. Her current outlook from the doctors is 6 months. But to that we say, fu*k cancer. SHE IS READY TO KICK CANCER’S ASS! ANYONE that has ever met Judy knows what a LOVING, CARING, FUNNY, BEAUTIFUL, PERSONABLE, WELCOMING, GENTLE SOUL she is. She immediately has an impact on your life with her radiant and bubbly personality. She is an amazing mother of two, honorary mother to many, wife of almost 34 years to David, grandmother to Rhyan, sibling, friend, neighbor, acquaintance, stranger, whatever she may be to you. She is amazing.

The purpose of this GOFUNDME is to help support future medical expenses, as her and David have limited income (he is retired and is on disability), and her short-term insurance coverage may prevent her from getting the care that she NEEDS. Currently the family is trying to get her into OHSU for a second opinion as the Dr’s have basically told her to go home and get hospice care. This fund is also to help with any family expenses. Her children, Lynnsey and Graham work hard to support themselves. Graham living out of state and Lynnsey living here working full time and going to school. We want them to be able to spend as much time as they can with their mom and not have to worry as much about bills and traveling expenses. This is an extremely sensitive and stressful time for the family. We do not believe money should be an additional concern. Any donations are greatly appreciated by the Martin Family.
