Judicial Review WRFC & RFU

Merton Council granted planning permission to the RFU for the artificial pitch, tarmac, floodlights and associated paraphernalia on 25 March 2019, on Metropolitan Open Land at Beverley Meads Recreation Ground. Details of the many objections can be found here .
Since the decision, I have filed an application for Judicial Review. The Judicial Review application process runs to a very short timetable (3-6 weeks post decision) so we pushed on with this.
I would now like to ask neighbours, supporters and anyone else who might be interested, to help me with the funding of this application, to prevent inappropriate development on Metropolitan Open Land.
Merton Council has not followed a proper process, has ridden roughshod over the concerns of residents and the Wimbledon & Putney Commons Conservators and has simply ignored precedent set by itself in respect of development of this area of Metropolitan Open Land.
Excluding the judicial review, I have already spent over £16,000 on fighting this application, on Legal Counsel, Planning Consultants and Transport Consultants. This has helped in creating a solid basis for the Judicial Review.
The estimated fees for the Judicial Review including a full hearing at the Planning Division of the High Court range from £25k to £35k. There are various stages in between which could result in lower (or even higher) costs.
I would be grateful for any pledges of financial support to this application. As a starter, the NWWRA has agreed to match contributions from NWWRA members up to a total of £2,000.
Any funding not required, either due to costs being lower than expected or due to success in having Merton Council pay our costs when we will, will be returned to donors.
