My 5yr old son Jovani has rare form of Epilepsy that is caused by a hamartoma of the brain. My poor baby needs laser brain surgery to have it removed. Children's Memorial hospital does not have the equipment or the knowledge of this type of surgery. The only problem is, is that the doctor that can do this specific surgery is in Houston, Texas. Our insurance will only pay for the hospital stay, not the surgery, tests, or doctors. The goal amount is the amount I have to pay out of pocket. My son was born with this tumor and it is growing along with him. As of right now this tumor is causing him to have 3 different types of seizures, ADHD, ODD, BD, ED, and a unspecified condition. The 3 medications that he is on is not working. I just want my son to live a normal childhood, go to school, and be able to play/learn with other kids. We would appreciate any help we can get.
