JENNIFER'S JOURNEY OF HOPE

Donation protected

One year ago, our amazing Jennifer was diagnosed with endometrial cancer at the young age of 27.  Her news shocked family and friends because Jennifer is one of the most vibrant, caring, beautiful and healthy young women we’ve ever known.  Jennifer had just graduated from Sacramento State University and returned from a once in a lifetime trip when she received this life-changing news from her doctor.

At this stage in life, young people should be experiencing all the joy, excitement and normal challenges that adulthood offers.  Unfortunately, instead of a time that should be filled with dreams and aspirations of the future, Jennifer now has to fight for her life.

Jennifer has faced the last year of operations, radiation and chemotherapy treatment with courage, strength and inspiring determination.  After going through all this, Jennifer learned that the cancer has spread to the bladder, pelvic wall, and to the lower right side of her lung.  She is currently diagnosed as Stage IV terminal.

However, Jennifer is a fighter!  She has been accepted to the Dana Farber Cancer Facility in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the best in the world to treat this disease.  She begins her treatment there on Monday, September 8th.

She is very fortunate that Dana Farber will cover a portion of the treatment costs.  However, Jennifer will have some medical bills and will also need to come up with funding for flights, accommodations, local transportation, some medication and living expenses until her treatment is complete.

Many of you have offered to help in whatever way you can to support Jennifer on her Journey of Hope.  Contributing what you can will free Jennifer to focus on the only important matter in her life right now, beating this disease!

Thank you for your financial support and all the positive thoughts and prayers you’re sending her way.  Life is Beautiful.

Jennifer’s Inspirations:

“When fighting cancer, it’s not always about the odds or success rates.  It’s about the will of a human being whose strength to overcome cannot be measured on paper.”

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:12

As for me, I will always have hope.  Psalm 71:14

And now these three remain:  faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:13
