In the Heart of Tragedy: The Story of ahmed His family: We are a family of 7 people: my father, my mother, the children Karim and Nada, my brother and his wife.

ahmed February 9, 2025
My name is ahmed , a 30-year-old from Ga za City. Like any young man my age, I had dreams—finishing my education, building a future, and supporting my family. But in a single moment, war changed everything. I lost everything I owned in one day. My home, once a safe haven, is now nothing but rubble. I no longer have a roof to shield my family and me from the biting cold of winter or the blazing heat of summer. Even my education, the key to a better future, was taken away from me. Now, my family and I live in a tent—a fragile shelter that barely meets the basics of survival. We are enduring unbearable conditions. The cold seeps into our bones, insects surround us, and the skyrocketing prices have made life harder than we could have ever imagined. We have no source of income and live each day not knowing how we will secure our next meal.
Despite everything, we haven’t lost hope. We believe that kindness still exists in people’s hearts. Today, I am reaching out to you with all my heart: help us. Not just to survive another day, but to start anew. We want to rebuild our lives, return to education and work, and find a safe shelter that restores our dignity and protects us from life’s harsh realities.
Your donations, no matter how small, can make the difference between despair and hope. They can give us the chance to rebuild what war has destroyed and create a better future for ourselves and our family's children.
Your compassion is our lifeline. Be our support and a reflection of God’s mercy on Earth.
What ahmed and family's funds will be used for:
1. Immediate survival needs including water, food and shelter among the many unexpected costs of living in a war zone.
2. Evacuation fees.
3. College travel fees, tuition, books and study supplies.
4. Housing and living expenses.
5. Humanitarian mutual aid efforts to help community members with low or no funds.
With the utmost gratitude,
ahmed
