Joslyn's Jubilee

Joslyn Ann Wassler was born June 2nd. 5lbs 6oz and 18in long to Chris and Lauren Wassler. After a difficult delivery she was immediately rushed to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. During her fetal development, parts of her mid-line did not fully develop. She suffers from EA/TEF (type C), and a tethered spinal cord. These are associated with a birth defect that occurs in about 1 in every 3,500 babies. Less than 48 hours after birth, she endured an 8+ hour surgery. The doctors were fortunately able to repair her trachea so she can breathe on her own, but were unable to do the other reconstructive parts of the surgery. Jossi will remain at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for the next several months to be monitored until she has grown big enough for the next phase of surgery. 

On August 27th a benefit is being held for Joslyn at the Blue Note in Harrison, OH. 6:30pm - 10:30pm. Tickets for the event are $25. They can be purchased through eventbrite.com. Search: Joslyns Jubilee. Tickets include beer, soda, and food. Cash bar. All proceeds will go to help her family with the immense medical expenses they are facing.
